Rise Of The Northstar : Neo Paris
Rise Of The Northstar (abrégé ROTN ou ROTNS) est un groupe de Metal français fondé à Paris en 2008 par le chanteur Vithia. Dès ses débuts, le groupe s’est distingué par un concept unique : fusionner le Metal Hardcore, le Hip-Hop et le Thrash avec une esthétique et des références issues de la culture japonaise, notamment des mangas comme Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star). Le nom du groupe lui-même est un hommage direct au titre US de ce manga.
Le mercredi 30 avril 2025, Rise Of The Northstar a sorti le single Neo Paris accompagné de son somptueux clip ! La référence du titre est très claire : Neo Tokyo dans Akira. Le clip nous plonge totalement dans l’ambiance de ce pilier de la pop culture mondiale. Le morceau a été mixé et masterisé par Florent Salfati (LANDMVRKS).
Les paroles et l’esthétique du morceau évoquent une ville futuriste et violente, à la croisée du cyberpunk et des ambiances dystopiques, ce qui fait directement écho à l’univers de Neo Tokyo présenté dans Akira. Le clip animé renforce cette atmosphère avec des éléments typiques du manga et de la culture japonaise, comme les motos rouges, les explosions…
